French Navy

Creation of a step-by-step training course in augmented reality, spatialized around the Dauphin helicopter.
Augmented Reality Industry & Defense
Challenge

To bridge the gap between theory and practice, the French Navy’s Technical Instruction Service (S.I.T.) intends to use augmented reality to train its students in the pre-flight check-up of Dauphin-Panther helicopters.

Solution

Develop step-by-step training in augmented reality. The student puts on the helmet and follows the pre-flight check-up. Each step is spatialized around the helicopter and appropriate content (documentation, video, visuals, etc.) is displayed to guide the student to perform the check-up actions.

Benefits

This training enables students to learn independently and in an engaging way. This frees up considerable time for S.I.T. trainers.
